Raised on James Island, S.C., Bill’s expertise and style of cooking is firmly rooted in the Gullah culture. Not only is he a great chef, he is a wonderful storyteller of Gullah history and culture. Bill Green is also a skilled horseman, huntsman and trainer of hunting hounds and is the nations only African American teaching the art of the drag hunt, a form of hunting that doesn’t harm or use a live fox.
